  • Open World Learning Community (OWL) is a district magnet school with transportation to all St. Paul students.
  • OWL is a small-by-design school that is part of the national network of Expeditionary Learning (EL) Education Schools, which promote rigorous and engaging curriculum; active, inquiry-based learning; and a school culture that demands and teaches compassion and good citizenship.
  • WIth just 450 students in grades 6-12, every student is a known and valued part of our family-like community.
  • Our Crew program (advisory at OWL) fosters strong relationships and a sense of belonging through a unique curriculum centered on social and emotional growth.
  • Our curriculum is designed around learning expeditions - projects that allow students to investigate issues in our school, the community and the world.
  • OWL students earn at least 300 hours of service in a service-learning program designed around solidarity, not charity.
  • Students develop their critical thinking skills and can earn college credit whil in high school through our Advanced Placement classes and by taking PSEO courses at local colleges.
  • 100% college acceptance rate for graduates.
