At Open World Learning, we are a small-by-design school that is part of the national network of Expeditionary Learning Education Schools.
Expeditionary Learning Schools promote rigorous and engaging curriculum; active, inquiry-based learning; and a school culture that demands and teaches compassion and good citizenship.
Our curriculum is designed around learning expeditions—projects that allow students to investigate issues in our school, the community and the world.
OWL students earn at least 300 hours of service in a service-learning program designed around solidarity, not charity.
