At Hidden River Middle School, our goal is to help students gain global perspective. Through our International Baccalaureate (IB) Middle Years Programme, we emphasize the value of teaching students to ask questions and think critically about issues in our school, community and the world.
All classes at Hidden River are rooted in IB and engage students in lessons that are relevant to their lives. We also offer a French Immersion program, serving as the middle school pathway for students from L’Etoile du Nord.
Core academics are enhanced by programs such as AVID, band and orchestra, and visual arts. Students participate in student leadership opportunities through WEB (Where Everyone Belongs), National Junior Honor Society, student council, BSU (Black Student Union) and GSA (Gay, Straight Alliance), as well as through afterschool programming. We challenge our young people to recognize their place in society and how they can take action within it.
