School Tour Video
  • At Expo, we focus on student strengths while instilling a love of learning in each child.
  • Classrooms build community with learners working together to create a safe and welcoming space.
  • Grade 5 is a leadership year in which our oldest students take active roles in their education and provide services that positively impact the school environment.
  • As part of the well-rounded education, we offer the following specialist classes to all students: physical education, art, advanced math, science, and gifted and talented programs.
  • We offer unique outdoor science education where students learn about plants, animals, nature and grow a beautiful garden.
  • We create community in the school through reading buddies that allow the oldest and the youngest students to work together.
  • We provide other fun activities that incorporate movement and love for nature such as Girls on the Run and the Boundary Waters camp for 5th grade students.
  • At Expo, students are challenged to think critically and learn problem-solving skills through Lego League and robotics in after-school classes.
  • Social-emotional learning is at the heart of our PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports) work and student support. Additionally, students have the opportunity to meet with the school counselor or social worker individually or in small groups.
  • We offer Music Program Residency in partnerships with the Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra and MacPhail Center.
  • Family and Community events are led by the Expo Council of Parents and Teachers, including a book fair, fun run, fall festival/carnival, Holiday Share, and Community Service Night.

We offer:

  • PreK (full day)
  • Discovery Club (fee-based, on-site)
  • Extended Day for Learning (EDL)
  • Community Education after-school programs (fee-based)
