With a new name and a new location, Barack & Michelle Obama Montessori Elementaryy School remains a warm and welcoming school community that values all children and families. We look forward to welcoming new and returning families to our community.
Montessori instruction is based on hands-on learning, connection to nature, social justice and inclusion. Multi-age classrooms create strong relationships with the teacher and community over a two- or three-year period. Our philosophy focuses on empowering students to be peacemakers and problem solvers. Montessori education develops independence and critical thinking skills and prepares students to be global citizens.
