Our school is a family-friendly place that works closely with parents to ensure the success of all scholars. At Obama, we
proudly use the School-wide Enrichment Model to develop the talent and potential of our scholars, who help choose the
problems they want to solve in groups organized by interest (like robotics, dance or puppetry). Our scholars embrace their rich
traditions by learning about their history, culture and the contributions of their ancestors. Students prepare to become leaders
in our community through core subjects along with fun and engaging activities. Classes include physical education, cultural
explorations through technology, African-American Studies and African drumming. Come visit one of the most beautiful
elementary school media centers in the district. Our focus on family engagement, community partnerships, volunteerism and
mentorships makes Obama a supportive and lively school.
