Investigate, Innovate and Initiate! Words to live by as we open our new Fabrication (FAB) Lab and Flight Simulator Lab as part of our district-wide Aerospace and Engineering program. Johnson’s Fab Lab is a place to design solutions to problems. Students use computers and rapid prototyping machines to devise and build almost anything they can imagine. With our new labs, Johnson will become a member of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Fab Lab Network. We are also the only certified "Project Lead the Way" high school in Saint Paul with pre-engineering classes in mechanical, civil, aerospace and biotechnical engineering. Johnson students complete a unique career exploration curriculum, culminating with all seniors presenting their senior projects to panels of teachers. Many specialized programs and partnerships provide opportunities for students to receive college credit while still in high school. In addition to arts and athletics opportunities, an active Habitat for Humanity project takes students to Central America every other year, with our next trip to Honduras in 2014.
